Status of Ichthyofaunal Diversity of River Ganga in Malda District of West Bengal, India

The river Ganges is the largest in India and fifth longest world. Although, many studies on fish ecology systematic have been conducted largely to improve fisheries but diversity their distribution pattern from conservation point of view never adequately addressed River . objective present study was explore Ichthyofaunal stretch Ganga at Malda district West Bengal. result showed that 69 freshwater species belonging 9 Orders, 24 Families found District Bengal, India.
